Major accident in Mandi: Massive fire due to short circuit in HRTC bus parked in the depot, loss worth lakhs
A staff told that the HRTC bus of Dharampur Lakhrehad via Sajjopipalu Tihra route reached Bharari station from Dharampur at 5 pm on Saturday, when the HRTC driver stopped the bus for night halt, then due to short circuit in the bus, heavy smoke came out. After that, due to overheating of the engine, a fierce fire started.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, April 20:A serious incident of fire in an HRTC bus has come to light in the evening at Bharari station of Dharampur in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.Due to short circuit here, smoke came out from the engine of an HRTC bus parked in the depot and then a massive fire broke out, which was controlled in time by the people of the shop and the station staff by extinguishing it with buckets of water.

After that, due to overheating of the engine, a fierce fire started.
The huge fire was immediately extinguished by the HRTC bus driver with the help of water buckets and other shopkeepers from nearby shops.
The front part of the HRTC bus has been burnt to ashes and the HRTC technical team has started investigation.
