Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 04: Mahendra Singh Kalta, Panchayat Samiti member of Theog development block of Shimla district, has raised questions on the Public Works Department regarding the tender for the construction of Matiana Mohari To Chhaila Road. Mahendra Singh Kalta has alleged that the PWD department has ignored the rules and awarded the tender, which is completely wrong.

Mahendra Singh Kalta said in a press conference in Shimla that two people participated in the tender process for Matiana Mohari To Chhaila Road construction. This was a tender worth Rs 23 crore 36 lakh for 26 kilometer Matiana Mohari To Chhaila Road. The Public Works Department awarded the tender to the person without fulfilling the conditions and without taking approval from PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh. Theog Panchayat Committee member Mahendra Singh Kalta said that when he sought information from the Public Works Department through email but no response was received.
