Himachal Politics: Tickets To Congress Rebels, Challenge To Convince Loved Ones
Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Himachal Pradesh, new political calculations are being made and worsened every day between Congress and BJP.

Although BJP is considered more disciplined in the matter of rebellion, the ambitions of many established leaders may come in the way of BJP. Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Himachal Pradesh, new political calculations are being made and worsened every day between Congress and BJP. Resentment has increased among many leaders due to rebel MLAs and independents joining BJP.

This may cause discord in those assembly constituencies in which BJP candidates have lost in the 2022 assembly elections. These leaders are beginning to worry about what will happen to their future if rebels and independents are made assembly candidates. Now the Congress party is keeping a close eye on these BJP leaders. Consultations are going on to include these leaders in Congress. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has also said this in gestures. This is the reason behind not declaring the candidate in the Lok Sabha elections also.
Before Ravi Thakur, who was the Congress MLA in Lahaul-Spiti Assembly constituency, joined BJP, Minister Ramlal Markanda has also announced to resign along with his supporters and contest the elections. Supporters of Virender Kanwar, five-time MLA from Kutlehar, are also not happy with this. He himself has shown signs of displeasure by not attending the welcome program of new Kutlehar candidate Davinder Kumar Bhutto.

After Nalagarh’s independent MLA KL Thakur joined BJP, BJP candidate Lakhwinder Rana spoke about being cheated by him and became emotional on the BJP platform itself. Ramesh Dhawala is also angry with Hoshyar Singh joining BJP from Dehra. Soon after Chaitanya Sharma joined BJP, Rakesh Kalia, the previous BJP candidate from Gagret, resigned from the party. Similarly, there is dissatisfaction in some other assemblies also. Its damage control will not be easy for BJP.
