Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Dharamshala, March 25: The responsibility of ensuring BJP’s victory in the by-elections has also fallen on the shoulders of Union Minister and BJP candidate from Hamirpur Parliamentary seat, Anurag Thakur. The changed equations due to the entry of rebel MLAs will have the biggest impact in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. Apart from Anurag Thakur’s own seat, if the resignations of independent MLAs are accepted in the by-elections, then assembly by-elections will be held on maximum six seats in this parliamentary constituency. Amidst the new political equations, apart from Anurag Thakur, his father former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal will have an important role in stopping the possible turmoil within the Bharatiya Janata Party, preventing infighting and maintaining unity among the workers.

On the other hand, the BJP high command had also given the responsibility of including rebels and independents into the party in New Delhi to Anurag Thakur. An attempt was made to convey a message behind this also. In such a situation, the high command is also trying to give an effective message by saying all is well to the workers. Rajinder Rana, who ousted Dhumal from the race for the post of CM in the 2017 assembly elections, is also in the list of these nine leaders. The high command has taken the decision of his entry considering the need of the hour and sensing the urgency of the occasion.

On Saturday, during the joining program of rebel MLAs in BJP, there came an occasion when Union Minister Anurag became hesitant. In the program, the rebels were welcomed by handing over BJP membership slips and wearing saffron patkas. During this time Rajinder Rana’s turn also came. Anurag hesitantly handed over the Bharatiya Janata Party slip to Rajinder Rana, but when the turn came to wear the Bharatiya Janata Party patka, Anurag Thakur was hesitant. Anurag Thakur turned towards BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal standing on his right and extended the patka and expressed his desire to make Rajinder Rana wear it. But, in a nonchalant manner, Bindal handed over the responsibility of wearing the patka to him without saying a word. On this, Anurag turned towards Rajeinder Rana and made him wear a saffron patka. This moment of the video clip of the program went viral on social media and has become a topic of discussion.
