Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Hamirpur, March 14: Chaitra month fair started from Thursday at Baba Balak Nath Temple, Deotsiddh, a famous religious place of North India. Hamirpur District Magistrate and Baba Balak Nath Temple Trust Commissioner Amarjeet Singh inaugurated the Chaitra month fairs with puja, havan and flag ceremony in the temple premises.

The District Magistrate along with SP Padam Chand, ADC Manesh Yadav, SDM and Chairman of Baba Balak Nath Temple Trust Dr. Rohit Sharma, SDPO and Fair Police Officer Sachin Hiremath, Chief Medical Officer Dr. RK Agnihotri, Temple Officer Dharampal Negi, Temple Mahant Rajendra Giri And other dignitaries performed puja and havan at the temple and then participated in the flag ceremony. A huge crowd of devotees gathered on the occasion of the inauguration of these month-long fairs.

After the flag ceremony and other traditions, the District Magistrate took stock of various arrangements in the temple premises and issued guidelines to the officials regarding the conduct of the fairs.

Amarjeet Singh said that all necessary arrangements have been made in view of the huge crowd of devotees at Baba Balak Nath temple during the Chaitra month fairs. During this period, it has been decided to keep the temple open 24 hours. Security, cleanliness, electricity-water, medical, langar, parking and all other necessary arrangements have been made in the temple premises. Adequate number of police and home guards have also been deployed to maintain smooth traffic on all the roads around Deyotsiddh.

The District Magistrate said that the temple complex has been specially decorated this time and the help of local organizations and institutions and volunteers is also being taken to maintain cleanliness and smooth traffic system in the entire Deyotsiddh area. He told that even after the official end of Chaitra month fair on April 14, there is a huge crowd of devotees in Deyotsiddh till the last week of June. Therefore, arrangements have been made in the temple complex and its surrounding areas as per the period.

On this occasion, the District Magistrate also interacted with a large number of devotees who had come from outside and took feedback regarding various facilities being provided in the temple premises.
