Education Minister Rohit Thakur giving details of the cabinet meeting
Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 02: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Himachal Pradesh, the State Cabinet meeting was held at the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat on Saturday. During this period more than 50 agendas were discussed. However, it made headlines when after Jagat Singh Negi, the Education Minister suddenly came out of the meeting and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was seen coaxing him and taking him back. However, regarding this, the Education Minister said that he had left early from the meeting as his son was visiting the hostel for the first time.
Giving details of the cabinet meeting, Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that more than 50 agendas were discussed in the meeting. The Cabinet gave its approval to fill thousand posts of multi-task personnel in the Animal Husbandry Department. Rohit Thakur said that increasing the sources of income in the state has been the priority of the Chief Minister. In view of this, liquor tenders will be filled again for the financial year 2024-25.
Rohit Thakur said that 15 schools will be upgraded in the education department. Whereas 11 schools will be named after freedom fighters, gallantry awardees and famous personalities. In this, Jubbal Senior Secondary School will be named after former Chief Minister Ramlal Thakur. Apart from this, schools have been named after many historical personalities including the first Paramveer Chakra winner Somnath Sharma.

Apart from this, Rohit Thakur said that the district level fairs held in different areas of the state have been given the status of state level fairs. In this, many fairs including Salyarana Fair, Haroli Utsav, Holi Fair Jaisinghpur, Kahlu Maharaj Fair, Libad Fair will be organized as state level festivals.
At the same time, regarding his sudden departure from the cabinet and then going back with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, the Education Minister said that his son is going to the hostel for the first time. In such a situation, he got up early and left the meeting. The Chief Minister said that it was better to leave after completing the agenda, so he returned. Meanwhile, on the issue of getting emotional, Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that he is a Pahadi man and gets emotional easily.
