Shimla News: Patgehar School of Shimla Rural reopened, was included in the list of de-notified schools

Shimla, February 29: Orders have been issued to reopen Government Senior Secondary School, Patgehar, Shimla Rural. This notification has been issued by Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar. It has been said in the notification that in view of the demand of the people, the school is being restarted from the new session.

In fact, earlier on the orders of the government, more than 200 schools were de-notified due to small numbers. This school of Shimla rural was also included in it. As soon as the Sukhu government came to power, it had released the list of such schools which were opened by the former BJP government in the last year of its tenure. The present government had said that in order to gain power, the government hastily opened these schools, even though the number of students was very less. Such schools were closed with immediate effect.

There was anger among the local public regarding the closure of the school and the Education Department was informed that the decision to close this school was wrong. This has affected the education of children in the surrounding area. In such a situation, the state government, after looking at the entire matter again, has now given permission to reopen the school. Information regarding this has also been sent to the principal and staff of the concerned school and instructions have been issued to restart the entire system smoothly.
