Himachal: ‘Congress does not have the moral right to remain in power’, said the opposition leader after meeting the Governor

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that from the political point of view of the recent developments in Himachal Pradesh, it can be said that the state government has lost the moral right to remain in power.

After the crisis, the Congress government is looming in Himachal Pradesh. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has reached Raj Bhavan to meet Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. On meeting the Governor, Jairam Thakur said, ‘We will inform the Governor about what happened in the Assembly recently. We demanded a division during the cut motion on the Finance Bill, but it was not allowed. After this, the way Marshall behaved with all the MLAs was not right. We will raise this entire matter before the Governor.’

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that from the political point of view of the recent developments in Himachal Pradesh, it can be said that the state government has lost the moral right to remain in power.

Chief Minister should step down on moral grounds: Jairam

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu should step down on moral grounds. We demanded from the Assembly Speaker that the cut motion should also be done through division of vote. Whenever a financial bill is passed, there should be a floor test and division of votes to pass the budget.

Congress government will fall in the state within a week or a month: Harsh Mahajan –

On the other hand, Harsh Mahajan said after his victory that the Congress government has lost majority. If he is ashamed then the CM should resign. He claimed that the Congress government will fall in the state and the BJP government will be formed. The Congress government will fall in the state within a week or a month. Mahajan credited his victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.
