In the Assembly, the state government had to face the political crisis of cross voting for the Rajya Sabha seat. Among them, Sujanpur MLA Rajinder Rana and Barsar MLA Indradutt Lakhanpal, both have been elected from the Congress party and Ashish Sharma is an independent MLA from Hamirpur Sadar. Congress MLAs Rajinder Rana and Sudhir Sharma were angry with the government for a long time and kept targeting their own government on social media. On December 16, under the pretext of organizing Army Day in Sujanpur, both the MLAs demonstrated strength and raised their voice against the state government.
