Regarding the elections, Congress had also said that the MLAs will have to show the polling agent for whom they are voting.

Since the Leader of Opposition had protested against the Congress whip, Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan had said that there is no need for the whip in the Rajya Sabha elections.
