Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that in future, services of experienced Covid staff are going to be taken as and when required. Employees hired during the Corona period are going to be given preference in jobs.

During Question Hour on Tuesday, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that all the employees appointed in government departments are as per the rules.

There were no rules made for the appointments made during the Corona period.

If the previous government had made rules, we would not have removed the Covid staff. CM said that despite this, the Himachal government has given extension of service to the Covid staff several times on humanitarian basis. He said that honorarium of Covid staff has also been released and dues of Rs 3.50 crore of Covid staff are pending. This is also going to be released soon.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that BJP MLAs are making political gains on the entire issue.

Raising the entire issue, BJP MLA Rakesh Jambal said that the outsourced employees who provided services in difficult conditions during the Corona period have been removed from their jobs by the Himachal government.

Rakesh Jambal said that there was no time to make rules for recruitment during the pandemic. The Congress government of 14 months has not even made any rules. Rakesh Jambal has demanded continuation of the services of outsourced employees. BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur said that it is a question of dignity of the House that Himachal government gives assurance and nothing happens. The employees hired during the Corona period have saved the lives of others by risking their lives. Jairam Thakur said that the services of these employees should be taken at some other place.

Workers removed from oxygen plant should be rehired: Dhaniram Shandil

BJP MLA Rakesh Jambal has raised the issue of irregularities prevailing in Sundernagar Hospital. Citing the news published in Amar Ujala Himachal, he said that the oxygen plant has been closed for a year.

In response, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that he will definitely look into the matter of closure of the oxygen plant of Sundernagar. Health Minister Dr. Dhaniram Shandil said that orders have been given to reinstate the employees who were removed from the oxygen plant.
