Himachal News: Admission In First Class Will Be Available Even At The Age Of Five And A Half Years, Notification Issued
HP government has made this arrangement only for this academic session. In the academic session 2025-26, only children who complete six years of age on April 1 will be admitted in the first class.

Children of five and a half years of age will also get admission in the schools of Himachal Pradesh during the academic session 2024-25. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Education Department on Friday. Children who complete six years of age by 30 September 2024 will get admission now.
HP government has made this arrangement only for this academic session. In the academic session 2025-26, only children who complete six years of age on April 1 will be admitted in the first class. Apart from this, children above three years of age will be given admission in nursery, above four years of age in LKG and above five years of age in UKG.
