Himachal: ITMS will be Implemented at 6 Barriers, Tax Evasion and Border Security will be Stopped with High Tech Cameras
A large number of tourist buses and taxis enter Himachal Pradesh without paying taxes. Due to shortage of staff, it is not possible to inspect every vehicle. Hi-tech cameras are going to make this work easier. Security system is also going to be strengthened by installing hi-tech cameras on the barriers of Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
- Himachal: Hi-Tech Cameras Will Catch Tax Evading Vehicles At The Barriers.
Vehicles entering Himachal Pradesh by evading tax will no longer be able to escape detection of hi-tech cameras. Himachal Pradesh government is going to implement Intelligent Traffic Management System at 6 barriers bordering the state of Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
As soon as the vehicles from outside states reach the barrier, hi-tech cameras will read the number plate and if the vehicle has not paid the tax, then Himachal Transport Department will get its alert directly. Team of Himachal Transport Department is going to immediately arrest vehicle and collect the tax.
To increase the revenue of Himachal Pradesh, a target has been set to equip all interstate barriers with Intelligent Traffic Management System by March 31. Action is also going to be taken against those who violate any kind of traffic rules with the help of high tech cameras.
Online challan of those violating traffic rules will also be done with help of high tech cameras. High tech cameras are going to help in catching commercial vehicles entering Himachal Pradesh from outside states.
