A tourist vehicle met with an accident on National Highway-5 near Pangi Nala in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, in which one tourist has died while another is still reported missing.

A tourist car had met with an accident yesterday on National Highway five near Pangi Nala in Kinnaur district and fell into the Sutlej river. A total of three people were traveling in the vehicle. One has died in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Tanchen, resident of Kaja Spiti. One tourist has been injured in the entire accident while one is still missing. A search operation has been conducted by the Reckong Peo police team in search of the missing tourist. On the other hand, snowfall on the higher peaks of Kinnaur district and heavy rain and snowfall in the lower areas even today. In view of snowfall and rain in Kinnaur district, Kinnaur district administration has issued an advisory for people and tourists to take precautions. Kinnaur District Administration Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that movement of all types of vehicles has been banned at Nigulsari Land Slide Point from 7 pm to 5 am. Notification has been issued regarding restriction of movement of vehicles.
