The deceased father and daughter riding the bike were identified as residents of Miyanpur, Panjehra in Solan district.
After the incident was confirmed, the truck driver fled from the spot leaving the dead body behind.
Shyam Lal of village Miyanpur under Nalagarh of Solan district was going towards Nalagarh on bike with his forty one year old and his ten year old daughter Nandini.
This incident happened around 8:15 in the morning near the Bhudd barrier of Baddi. A truck came at a high speed from behind and suddenly due to climbing on top of the bike, the wheel of the truck ran over the father and daughter riding the bike, due to which both of them were crushed to death. Father and daughter died on the spot.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, Baddi police of Solan district reached the spot, picked up both the dead bodies from the road and took them to Nalagarh Hospital and after getting the post-mortem done there, the bodies of both the father and daughter were handed over to their relatives. .
Baddi Police DSP Priyank Gupta told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that this major accident happened due to the negligence of the truck driver.
The bodies were handed over to their families only after Baddi police got the post-mortem report of both the bodies done.
On the other hand, Baddi Police has started searching for the truck driver only after taking possession of the truck, and soon the truck driver will be taken into custody as part of the proceedings of Baddi Police.
