Sushma Verma of Shillai, Himachal Pradesh also played an important role in the Indian women’s Kabaddi team’s one-sided victory by successfully scoring good tackle points.
Also, both Jyoti from Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and Nidhi Sharma from Bilaspur district got a place in the Indian women’s Kabaddi team for the entire match in the seven-in-seven.
In the Indian women’s Kabaddi team’s first match against Chinese Taipei also, under the captaincy of Ritu Negi, three daughters of Himachal Pradesh had successfully made it to the Sevens.
In the second match also, apart from the captain Ritu Negi in the Indian women’s Kabaddi team, all the daughters of Himachal succeeded in giving their best performance by making it to the seven-in and also did not allow the South Korean women to stay on the court.
The next match of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team will be against Thailand on Wednesday.
Bhawan Singh Negi, father of Indian women’s Kabaddi team captain Ritu Negi, praised the performance of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team and said that after the first match which was tied against Chinese Taipei, the Indian women’s Kabaddi team improved its performance against South Korea in the second match. Changing the strategy, all the women Kabaddi players performed brilliantly and defeated South Korea easily.
