Himachal News : Hundreds of trees have fallen across the state during this monsoon season, due to which the Forest Department has also suffered a lot. The department is preparing the report of fallen trees in the forests and later they will be auctioned.
In Hamirpur district too, hundreds of trees have fallen due to landslides and the report of damage will be prepared by the department by September 15. Divisional Forest Officer Rakesh Sharma said that the work of removing the fallen trees is going on.
He said – trees which have fallen in the forest and some which have also fallen on the roadside. And those which were roadside trees, we had removed them and after collecting them, we are sending them to the corporation for auction. .
The rest of the damage to the trees in the forest has not yet been accurately assessed and we will assess it till September 15, we will give the forest corporation the return of the fallen trees for harvesting.
