District level badminton competition has started from today at Sirmour district headquarter Nahan.

District level badminton competition has started from today at Sirmour district headquarter Nahan. President of Badminton Association and Superintendent of Police Raman Kumar Meena inaugurated this competition.

This competition will be played in four categories and the selected participants will be sent for the state level competition to be held in Kangra. He said that this competition is being organized in different areas of the district to bring forth sports talents and to keep the youth away from drugs.

He said – Many youths have joined during this competition. They have passion. They are away from evils. The innocence of childhood, the dreams of adolescence become stronger in them.

They keep the children away from the evil of drugs. I would like to appeal to all the parents that like these children, all the parents should turn their children towards sports.

Those children who do not have much contact with the outside world yet, but will do so in the coming time, if parents turn them towards sports from now, then those children will have an oriented childhood. He once again expressed happiness over this and said – the number of participants in the competition being organized by the association is continuously increasing. More than a hundred players from Sirmaur district are participating in this competition which started in Nahan.
