Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi visited Labrang and Rispa panchayats of Kinnaur district and took stock of the ongoing development works in the area.
On this occasion, while addressing the public in a benefic manner, he said that the state government is fully committed to strengthen the economic activities of the tribal and rural areas.
He said that work is being done promptly to provide nine tods of land to the people in the tribal areas of district Kinnaur. He said that soon the road will be made up to Labrang, so that it will be easier for the people of the area to take their cash crops to the mandis.
He said that the problem of drinking water and irrigation water will be redressed soon.
Jagat Singh Negi said that most of the state’s population lives in rural areas. In such a situation, to strengthen the economy of the people of rural areas, it is necessary to strengthen horticulture and agriculture sector and many efforts are being made by the state government in this direction.
