Himachal Pradesh: In Himachal, CM Sukhu gave a shock to the general public, electricity became expensive while waiting for 300 units free
Himachal BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma said that the Congress had promised free electricity up to 300 units. Far from getting free electricity now, the government has done the work of giving a shock to the public by increasing the rates of electricity.
Shimla(DIARYTIMES): Himachal BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma said that the Congress had promised free electricity up to 300 units. Far from getting free electricity now, the government has done the work of giving a shock to the public by increasing the rates of electricity.
Himachal Pradesh News: On the very first day of the new financial year, the general public of Himachal Pradesh got a shock of electricity. Himachal Electricity Regulatory Board increased the electricity rates by 22 paise. At present, the domestic consumers of the state are getting free electricity up to 125 units. After this, domestic consumers will have to pay an additional 22 paise per unit.
Himachal BJP has termed the increase in electricity rate as unfortunate. Himachal BJP’s chief spokesperson and MLA Randhir Sharma said that before coming to power, the Congress had promised free electricity up to 300 units. Far from getting free electricity now, the government has done the work of giving a shock to the public by increasing the rates of electricity. Randhir Sharma said that soon after coming to power, Congress had increased VAT on diesel by three rupees. It is clear from this that the Congress government is anti-people. He said that the government is blaming the regulatory board for increasing the electricity rates, while the government itself had to keep these rates under control by giving subsidy to the board.
Where has the promise of 300 units of free electricity gone?
Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi in the Government of Himachal Pradesh said that this price has not been increased by the Government but by the Electricity Regulatory Board. This is an inherent process and under this process only the prices of electricity have been increased. After this reply received from the government, opposition is being seen among the public to increase the rates of electricity. Even on social media, the general public is asking the question that where has the Congress’s promise of 300 units of free electricity gone?
Opposition preparing to surround the government in the House
After the four-day break, the opposition BJP in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly has made preparations to surround the government on this issue. The assembly proceedings will begin at 2 pm on Monday. Before this, the opposition is going to hold a meeting of the Legislature Party in the assembly premises at one o’clock in the afternoon. In this meeting, a strategy will be prepared to encircle the government inside the house. Himachal BJP MLA is going to surround the government with the promise of free electricity and now the increase in electricity rates. However, this is the first budget session of the new government. Despite this, the opposition is continuously besieging the government on different issues. Earlier, the opposition has besieged the government in the matter of non-release of the last installment of the MLA fund, closure of institutions and changes in the Loktantra Prahari Samman Yojana.
