Shimla, August 27: Himachal Pradesh government is going to fill 885 posts of third and fourth class in the state soon. These posts will be filled through Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission Hamirpur. These posts will be filled through interview in 11 different departments by the commission. The process of filling 132 of these posts is in the pipeline. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu gave this information in a written reply to the question of MLA Chandershekhar in the Assembly on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister said that the maximum number of 360 posts will be filled in HRTC. Apart from this, 188 posts will be filled in Animal Husbandry Department, 275 of different categories in Electricity Board, one in Economics and Statistics, 4 in Transport, 25 of Hydro Mechanical in Electricity Board, 4 in Power Corporation, 5 in Industry and 5 posts of Mining Inspector will be filled. He informed that the process of filling 4 posts of Company Commander in the Home Department is in the pipeline.

At the same time, the process of filling 42 posts of JOA in Civil Supplies Corporation, 37 posts of Junior Audit in State Accounts Department, 41 posts of Ayurvedic Pharmacy Officer in AYUSH and 8 posts of Assistant Mining Inspector in Industries Department is going on. The Chief Minister said that all the concerned departments have been asked to make appointment recommendations by 31 December 2024.

117 out of 296 posts of Forest Divisional Officer are vacant in Himachal. Out of these vacant posts, 76 posts are to be filled through State Selection Commission. 41 posts will be filled by promotion. Its process is in the final stage. This was said by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in a written reply to the question of MLA Vikram Singh. The Chief Minister informed that 19 Block Officers in the state have been given the charge of Range Officer.

At present, a total of 296 posts of forest range officers are sanctioned. Out of these, 117 posts are vacant. He informed that out of 19 block officers, only 2 block officers have been given charge of 2 ranges. 17 block officers have been given charge of only one range.

At present, 7313 posts of various categories are vacant in Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board. Out of 25443 posts sanctioned in the board, 18130 posts have been filled in various categories. While still more than seven thousand posts are vacant with the board. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu gave this information in a written reply to the question of MLA Sudhir Sharma.

The Chief Minister said that the old pension scheme is applicable to the employees appointed in the Electricity Board before 15 May 2003 as per the pattern of Himachal Pradesh Government, while the employees appointed after 15 May 2003 have been included in the new pension scheme.
