48°C Is The New Normal For Summers in 2023 ?

The report by Greenpeace, titled, “India: Heatwave trends in a Changing Climate”. The report indicates, a rise in temperature through the years. As per the report before the end of the century, 48°C will become the new normal for summers. 

The report expects a rise in CO2 emissions by the year 2050. This will lead to an increase in average temperature by 4°C in many cities. Resulting in the average temperature being 48°C.

The rapid and drastic increase in temperature will lead to more drastic and prolonged heat waves and extreme weather conditions. 

This drastic change in climate will cause damage to the following, 

No heatwave of 48°C was ever expected from 1970 to 2020. But as per the reports, many cities in India will face a rise in average temperature,
