Shimla, 21 August:Â In a significant move to promote inclusive education, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced the creation of 245 posts for special educators in the state’s education department. These teachers will be deployed in classes from pre-primary to Class 12, to ensure that students with special needs get the necessary support during their academic journey.
According to the official notification released by the state government, 138 special educators will be appointed to work with students from pre-primary to Class 5. Additionally, 107 posts have been allotted for teachers who will take care of students from Class 6 to Class 12. The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to provide quality education to all students regardless of their abilities.
The decision to create these posts was approved during the recent cabinet meeting, and the subsequent release of the notification has marked the beginning of the recruitment process. The education department will soon begin the process of filling these posts, so that special educators can be appointed to assist students across the state.
The move is expected to significantly increase the state’s capacity to provide special educational services, helping create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with special needs.
