Announcing the milestone, Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN, highlighted that the company’s flagship 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydroelectric Power Station delivered its second-highest annual generation, producing 7,506.617 MU during the fiscal year.

In a major achievement, the Nathpa Jhakri plant also crossed a historic benchmark of 150 billion units of cumulative power generation in March 2026—underscoring its long-term contribution to India’s energy security.

Meanwhile, the 412 MW Rampur Hydroelectric Power Station set a new record by generating 2,108.034 MU, marking its highest-ever annual output. This is the first time the plant has surpassed the 2,100 MU milestone in its 11-year operational history.

Adding to the momentum, the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydroelectric Power Station generated 310.37 MU, exceeding its design capacity by 17%, showcasing improved efficiency and operational excellence.

On the renewable front, SJVN’s 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Station also made headlines by crossing the significant milestone of 1 billion units of power generation on March 19, 2026, reflecting the company’s growing footprint in clean energy.

Gupta credited the success to the collective efforts of employees and extended gratitude to the Ministry of Power, state governments, and stakeholders for their continued support.

Echoing similar sentiments, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), emphasized that the achievements were driven by employee dedication and noted the positive socio-economic impact of SJVN’s projects in surrounding regions.

Parthajit De, Director (Finance), stated that the company’s strong performance reflects its operational capabilities and strategic vision. He reiterated SJVN’s commitment to contributing significantly toward India’s ambitious target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

With consistent growth across hydro and solar segments, SJVN continues to play a vital role in strengthening India’s clean and sustainable energy landscape.
