In a major escalation that could reshape the geopolitical landscape of West Asia, the United States has reportedly carried out strikes on 10,000 locations inside Iran since February 28, according to the US Central Command.
The announcement came from Admiral Brad Cooper, who described the scale of the operation as unprecedented. “We hit the 10,000th Iranian target just hours ago,” he said, adding that joint efforts with Israel have intensified the overall impact.
Massive Military Impact Reported
The ongoing campaign, reportedly named Operation Epic Fury, has significantly weakened Iran’s naval strength. According to US officials, nearly 92% of large Iranian naval vessels have been destroyed since the operation began.
At the same time, a report by The New York Times suggested that several American military bases in the region have also taken heavy damage. Out of 13 US bases in West Asia, many are now said to be either destroyed or uninhabitable, raising serious concerns about regional stability.
Trump’s Strong Message to Iran
Amid rising tensions, Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran. He claimed that Iran attempted to attack a US aircraft carrier with 100 missiles, but all were intercepted.
Taking to social media, Trump criticized Iran’s negotiation stance, calling their representatives “strange” and accusing them of secretly seeking a deal while publicly appearing hesitant.
“They better get serious soon, before it is too late,” Trump warned, hinting at even stronger action if negotiations fail.
Debate Over Ground Troops
Back in Washington DC, discussions are intensifying within the US Congress. The House Armed Services Committee has reportedly been briefed on the possibility of deploying US ground troops in Iran, though no final decision has been made yet.
What Happens Next?
With Trump’s temporary pause on targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure set to expire soon, the coming days could prove critical. Experts believe the situation is at a tipping point, where diplomacy or further escalation could define the future of the region.
