In a major push towards development, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Sunday announced a series of infrastructure and economic projects that promise to reshape the future of the Haroli Assembly segment.
At the heart of this development drive is the strengthening of a 17.5 km road stretch from Jaijon Morh to Tahliwal Chowk via Bhai ka Morh, with an investment of 48.69 crore. This upgrade is expected to significantly improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and support industrial movement in the region. Alongside this, three new bridges will be constructed in Palkwah, Kangar, and Badheda villages, making transportation smoother and safer for locals.
In a move that highlights the government’s focus on youth and sports, a modern synthetic track will also be developed at Rora village, located on the border of Una and Haroli, with a budget of 10 crore. This facility is expected to provide better training opportunities for aspiring athletes while encouraging youth to stay away from harmful habits.
Agnihotri also revealed that the Asian Development Bank has sanctioned 124 crore for drinking water schemes across the state, with over 10 projects already implemented in the Haroli segment. He expressed confidence that Haroli will soon achieve 100% irrigation coverage, bringing relief and stability to local farmers.
One of the biggest highlights is the upcoming 2000 crore Bulk Drug Park project, which is expected to give a massive economic boost to the region. The project is likely to create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities, benefiting not just Haroli but nearby areas as well.
On the cultural and tourism front, the Deputy CM shared that the Centre has approved 56.26 crore under the PRASAD scheme for the development of the famous Mata Chintpurni Temple in Una. Additionally, the state government has allocated 100 crore for further improvements at the shrine. A ropeway project is also in the pipeline, aimed at enhancing accessibility for devotees.
Highlighting the broader impact, Agnihotri said these projects will not only streamline traffic flow and strengthen the industrial corridor but also create a healthier and more opportunity-rich environment for the youth.
With infrastructure, employment, and cultural development all moving forward together, Haroli appears set to enter a new phase of growth and transformation.
