Speaking after a high-level meeting of foreign ministers in Riyadh, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud struck a firm yet measured tone. His message was simple: stop the attacks on Gulf countries—immediately.
“What matters most right now is ending these attacks on my country and our neighbouring nations that are not part of this conflict,” he said.
Behind this statement lies growing frustration in Riyadh. While Saudi Arabia says it still prefers diplomacy, it is no longer ruling out stronger action if provoked.

Prince Faisal emphasized that Saudi Arabia will use every possible tool—political, economic, and diplomatic—to de-escalate the situation. But he also made it clear that there is a limit to restraint.
“The Kingdom is not going to succumb to pressure,” he said, warning that continued aggression would ultimately backfire on Iran—politically and morally.
In a significant escalation of tone, he added that Saudi Arabia reserves the right to take military action if necessary.

Saudi Arabia also accused Iran of targeting civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities in Riyadh. Two refineries were reportedly attacked, raising concerns about regional security and global energy stability.
