US President Donald Trump has claimed that American forces have already destroyed around 90% of Iran’s missile arsenal, signaling that military operations against Iran could intensify in the coming days.

In an interview aired Friday on the The Brian Kilmeade Show, Trump said the ongoing military campaign was progressing much faster than expected.

“We had no idea it would be this far ahead. We’ve knocked out close to 90 per cent of their missiles,” Trump said during the interview.

Major Strikes on Iran’s Missile and Drone Facilities

According to Trump, US forces have targeted most of Iran’s missile and drone manufacturing facilities, significantly weakening the country’s military capabilities.

“We’re hitting them harder than anybody’s been hit since World War II,” he said, suggesting the campaign has already dealt severe damage to Iran’s military infrastructure.

Trump added that the United States still has significant military resources ready, although he did not provide a timeline for when the operation might end.

US May Escort Oil Tankers Through Strait of Hormuz

Trump also addressed growing concerns about global oil supply disruptions. He said the United States could step in to escort oil tankers through the strategic Strait of Hormuz if tensions threaten international shipping routes.

“If we needed to, we would escort vessels,” he said, stressing the importance of protecting global oil shipments through the narrow waterway.

Trump Warns Iran of ‘Very Hard’ Strikes Next Week

The US president warned that military pressure on Iran will increase further in the coming days, claiming the damage inflicted so far could take years for Iran to recover from.

“We’ve already damaged them so badly it would take years for them to rebuild,” Trump said. “We’re going to be hitting them very hard over the next week.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump also hinted at additional military action, saying Iran’s military capabilities were being “decimated.”

Operation Epic Fury After Nuclear Talks Failed

The military campaign, reportedly called Operation Epic Fury, was launched jointly by the United States and Israel after nuclear negotiations with Tehran collapsed, according to reports.

Trump said the conflict had already severely weakened Iran’s armed forces, including its navy and air force.

Trump Comments on Iran’s New Supreme Leader

During the same interview, Trump was asked about Mojtaba Khamenei, who has reportedly emerged as Iran’s new supreme leader.

Trump said he believes Khamenei is likely still alive but may have been injured.

“He probably is. I think he’s damaged, but I think he’s probably alive in some form,” Trump said.
