Himachal Pradesh BJP president Dr Rajiv Bindal has accused the Sukhu-led Congress government of coming to power on false promises, alleging administrative failure and neglect of pensioners’ issues.
Himachal Pradesh BJP president Dr Rajiv Bindal on Sunday accused the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government of being formed on false promises and misleading the people of the state.
Speaking to mediapersons during his visit to the Baglamukhi Temple in Dehra, Dr Bindal said the Congress government had consistently failed to live up to its pre-poll assurances. He claimed that the reality of the government’s functioning had now become evident to the public.
“The people of Himachal Pradesh have understood the truth and will show the door to the Congress in the next Assembly elections,” he said.
The BJP state chief alleged that the Sukhu government had committed injustice by exploiting various sections of society. He said issues concerning former government employees, particularly related to pension benefits, had emerged as a major cause of distress.
“A large section of retired employees is worried about their pensions, yet the government remains insensitive to their problems,” Bindal said.
He further alleged that the Congress government was incapable of managing administrative affairs effectively, adding that governance failures were adversely affecting the state’s development and public welfare.
