The tableau was built around the theme that Himachal, widely revered as ‘Dev Bhoomi’ (land of the gods), is equally ‘Veer Bhoomi’ (land of the brave) — reflecting its deep spiritual heritage alongside an enduring martial tradition.
Highlighting the state’s exceptional contribution to the nation’s defence forces, the display showcased that Himachal has produced 1,203 gallantry award winners, including four Param Vir Chakras, two Ashok Chakras, and 10 Maha Vir Chakras — an extraordinary record in India’s military history.
The presentation paid homage to soldiers from the hill state who, shaped by the resilience and rugged terrain of the mountains, have consistently answered the nation’s call with bravery and sacrifice.
Blending culture with valour, the tableau depicted Himachal’s sacred traditions, rich heritage, and patriotic spirit, symbolising how devotion and courage coexist in the character of its people.
Officials said the display served as a powerful reminder that the state’s legacy of service to the nation is not just historical but continues to inspire generations.
The tableau ultimately conveyed a strong message — Himachal Pradesh stands proudly as a ‘Veer Bhoomi’ nestled within the sacred ‘Dev Bhoomi’.
