Himachal Pradesh : Congress’ 10 poll guarantees turned out to be empty promises: BJP state in-charge
BJP in-charge for Himachal Pradesh Shrikant Sharma today alleged that the Congress government in the state has failed on all fronts, claiming that none of its pre-poll guarantees have been fulfilled.
BJP in-charge for Himachal Pradesh Shrikant Sharma today alleged that the Congress government in the state has failed on all fronts, claiming that none of its pre-poll guarantees have been fulfilled.
Addressing party workers during the ‘Apna Booth Sabse Mazboot’ programme organised in Ramshehar Mandal and Nalagarh city, Sharma said the Congress had made much publicity about its 10 guarantees during the last Assembly elections but failed to implement even a single one after coming to power.
“The guarantees given by the Congress have proved to be hollow promises,” Sharma said, adding that the youth of Himachal Pradesh were still waiting for the promised employment opportunities. He alleged that instead of generating jobs, the government was “busy granting repeated extensions to its friends and select government employees while ignoring the aspirations of common people.”
Targeting the government over women-centric promises, Sharma said that despite the completion of three years of the Congress regime, nearly 28 lakh women in the state were still waiting for the monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 promised to them.
“The assurances made to women by senior Congress leaders during the Assembly elections remain unfulfilled, which has resulted in disappointment and anger among women across the state,” he claimed.
Sharma said BJP workers would take the party’s message to the grassroots level and inform people about what he termed as the Congress government’s anti-people policies and false promises, reaching every booth and household.
