CM Sukhu Honors Ambedkar: A Tribute to His Legacy of Equality, Justice and Democratic Values
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu paid tribute to Dr B.R. Ambedkar on his death anniversary, highlighting his enduring contributions to social justice, equality and the strengthening of India’s democratic framework.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today paid floral tributes to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, at Chaura Maidan on his death anniversary.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Minister described Ambedkar as a visionary statesman and a pioneering social reformer who devoted his life to advancing equality, justice and the rights of marginalised communities. He noted that while drafting the Constitution, Ambedkar ensured equal rights for every citizen and played a decisive role in shaping and strengthening India’s democratic values.
Sukhu added that Ambedkar’s legacy continues to inspire the nation as it strives toward a more progressive and inclusive future.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, PCC president Vinay Kumar and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
