Marking three years of the state government, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh said there would be no celebrations this time—only a clear presentation of the government’s vision for Himachal Pradesh.

The BJP’s proposal to halt work over the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections was approved, but its strategy to disrupt proceedings in the Assembly did not succeed.

Showing statesmanship, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh agreed to hold a discussion on behalf of the government.

He reiterated that the Congress has always been the strongest defender of the Constitution, noting that it was the Congress party that introduced reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions.

The Chief Minister added that the government is functioning strictly in accordance with the law.
