HPBOSE Announces Class 10 & 12 Exam Dates for 2026 Academic Session: Practical Exams in February, Theory Papers in March–April
HPBOSE has released the 2025–26 annual exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 (Regular & Open School). Practical exams will be held from February 20–28, 2026, and theory exams will take place between March and April 2026. Results are expected by April 30, 2026.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Wednesday announced the annual examination schedule for Class X and XII—both Regular and Open School—for the 2025–26 academic session.
Board Chairman Rajesh Sharma said that practical and theory examinations will be conducted between February and April 2026.
According to the notification issued today, the practical examinations for Class X and XII (Regular and Open School) will be held from February 20 to February 28, 2026.
The Class X theory exams will take place from March 3 to March 28, 2026, while the Class XII theory exams will be conducted from March 3 to April 1, 2026. All theory papers will be held in the morning session from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM.
The board has also released the evaluation schedule. Collection of answer books from examination centres will begin on March 12, 2026, followed by the opening and receipt of packets on March 17. Spot evaluation will start on April 2 and conclude on April 22, 2026.
Result processing will begin on April 23, and the board aims to declare the annual results on April 30, 2026.
