Woman Among Three Arrested in Theog, Shimla for Possession of Heroin
Three individuals, including a woman, were arrested in Theog, Shimla after police seized 4.2 grams of heroin and ₹10,000 during a raid near the local post office. A case has been registered under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
Shimla (Theog): A woman and two men were arrested in Theog after police recovered 4.2 grams of heroin during a targeted raid, officials said on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Vishal alias Vicky (24) of Shilu village in Theog, Ayush Sharma (29) of Ward No. 3 in Theog, and Tanvi Thakur (23) of Vani village in Chopal tehsil, Shimla district.
According to police, they received a tip-off that several individuals were selling and consuming drugs in a building near the post office in Ward No. 3, Theog. Acting on the information, a police team conducted a raid at the location.
During the operation, officers recovered 4.2 grams of heroin along with ₹10,000 in cash from the suspects, following which all three were taken into custody.
Police officials confirmed the arrests and stated that a case has been registered under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation is in progress.
