Citizens across Himachal Pradesh are benefiting from the Revenue Department’s digital initiatives, which are showing strong and positive results. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the department has adopted modern, technology-driven systems to ensure greater transparency and faster resolution of revenue-related matters. As a result, people no longer need to make repeated trips to government offices, and the overall efficiency of public service delivery has improved significantly.

Two years ago, the state government launched the Revenue Management Portal for the public. Since then, orders in 1,16,490 cases have been uploaded, and key updates related to revenue matters are being made regularly. This allows citizens to access information about their cases online from the comfort of their homes.

A government spokesperson said that under Chief Minister Sukhu’s leadership, the current administration is committed to enhancing departmental efficiency by embracing advanced digital tools. With nearly 90% of the state’s population dependent on agriculture, a transparent, efficient, and technology-enabled land administration system is essential.

The paperless registration system, ‘My Deed’, is another successful initiative. So far, 55,874 registries have been completed through this platform. Anyone can apply for property registration online at any time and needs to visit the tehsildar’s office only once, saving both time and money.

To assist revenue officials, the e-Roznamcha system has been introduced, enabling them to maintain daily digital records. From September 1, 2025, all revenue courts in the state have been made fully online. Processes related to partition, demarcation, correction, and encroachment — from filing to hearings — are now managed through e-filing. Since its launch, 5,940 cases have already been filed under the new system.

Additionally, all land record maps in the state have been digitized and geo-referenced, ensuring quicker services and improved transparency in land-related matters.

Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized that transparency remains a top priority for the state government. The ongoing digitization across departments is enhancing accountability and ensuring better doorstep services for citizens.
