Himachal CM Begins Two-Day Kullu Visit for Disaster Review and National Land-Tech Workshop

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will begin a two-day visit to Kullu on November 20, combining a review of disaster-hit areas in Manali, Lug Valley, and Banjar with the inauguration of a national workshop on modern land administration technologies. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will begin a two-day visit to Kullu district on November 20, during which he will review disaster-hit areas and inaugurate a major national workshop on modern land administration technologies.

Senior officials from 15 states will attend the two-day workshop, organised by the Directorate of Land Records under the state Revenue Department. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi will review the final preparations for the event on Wednesday at Patlikuhal.

According to the official schedule, the Chief Minister will depart from Shimla’s Annadale helipad at 9:00 am and land at Manali’s SASE helipad at around 9:30 am. From there, he will proceed to Span Resort in Patlikuhal, where he will inaugurate the National Workshop on Adoption of Modern Technology in Land Administration in India at 9:55 am.

Minister Jagat Singh Negi, who recently reviewed the arrangements, said the conference will focus on land reforms, digital land records, transparent governance, and emerging technologies. He highlighted the significant progress Himachal has made in digitisation and expressed confidence that the event will further strengthen the state’s land governance initiatives.

After the inauguration, the Chief Minister will travel to Bagan village in Lug Valley to meet families affected by recent natural disasters and assess the situation on the ground. At 1:15 pm, he will depart for Bhuntar Airport and arrive by around 1:35 pm for a brief halt and lunch.

At 2:15 pm, he will take a helicopter to the Dhameuli helipad in Banjar and then proceed by road to the Gada Durga Temple ground in Gushaini, where he will interact with disaster-affected residents, including those impacted by the recent fire in Jhaniyar village.

During the visit, the Chief Minister will also inspect the damaged Gushaini school, review the condition of the Bathad road, and visit affected areas in Bandal and Sarchi villages. After a stopover in Sai Ropa, he will fly back to Manali and reach the Circuit House by around 5:05 pm for an overnight stay.

The visit underscores the government’s dual focus on accelerating recovery efforts in disaster-hit regions and strengthening land governance through modern technology.
