School Lab Attendant Arrested in Rohru After Police Seize 88 Grams of Opium
A school lab attendant in Shimla’s Rohru area was arrested after police seized 88 grams of opium and ₹20,000 cash from him. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
A school laboratory attendant has been arrested with 88 grams of opium in the Rohru subdivision of Shimla district.
According to the police, they received a tip-off that a man was carrying opium near the ISBT in Rohru. Acting swiftly, a police team reached the bus stand and apprehended the suspect. Officials also recovered ₹20,000 in cash from his possession.
Rohru DSP Pranav Chauhan confirmed the arrest and said that a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation is underway.
