UK Economy Grows 0.1% in Third Quarter of 2025

The UK economy grew by 0.1% in the third quarter of 2025, according to official data released on Thursday.

Economists surveyed by Reuters and the Bank of England had expected a stronger 0.2% rise in gross domestic product (GDP) for the July–September period.

The modest expansion highlights continued economic sluggishness as the UK grapples with weak consumer spending and high borrowing costs, despite gradual easing in inflation pressures.
