Himachal’s Tabo Valley Records Season’s Coldest Night at -7°C; Dry Weather to Continue Till November 19
Himachal Pradesh shivered through its coldest night of the season as Tabo in Lahaul-Spiti recorded -7°C. The Meteorological Department says dry weather will prevail across the state till November 19, with temperatures dipping further in high-altitude areas.
Himachal Pradesh witnessed its coldest night of the season as temperatures in Tabo village, located in the Lahaul-Spiti district, plunged to -7°C, marking the lowest reading so far this winter.
According to the State Meteorological Department, the weather across Himachal Pradesh will remain dry until November 19, even as minimum temperatures continue to fall sharply in the high-altitude regions of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, Kullu, Kangra, and Shimla.
During the past 24 hours, the weather remained mostly clear and sunny across the state. Minimum temperatures ranged between 2°C and 5°C in most areas, while in colder zones they dropped between -7°C and 0°C. Maximum temperatures remained near normal, between 12°C and 28°C.
In key locations, the minimum temperatures were recorded as follows:
- Shimla: 8.2°C
- Dharamshala: 9.4°C
- Manali: 2.5°C
- Mandi: 6.3°C
- Bilaspur: 8.5°C
- Hamirpur: 5.6°C
- Solan: 2.6°C
- Kangra: 6.5°C
- Nahan: 9.5°C
- Bhuntar: 3.5°C
- Sundernagar: 4.5°C
- Narkanda: 2.6°C
- Reckong Peo: 2.2°C
- Kasauli: 10.9°C
- Paonta Sahib: 13°C
- Kalpa: -0.4°C
- Kukumseri: -3.1°C
- Keylong: -3.3°C
Meanwhile, Una was the warmest place in the state, with a maximum temperature of 27.8°C.
Meteorological officials said that while the weather will stay dry statewide till November 19, both maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain within the normal range during this period.
