Trump Says Decision on New Fed Chair Likely by Year-End

U.S. President Donald Trump said a decision on the next Federal Reserve Chair could come by the end of the year.

“Probably by the end of the year, we’ll have a decision on the Fed,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.

Treasury Secretary Scott Besant added, “We’re going into the second round of discussions, and we hope to present the President with a strong shortlist right after Thanksgiving.”
