Snowfall and Rain Bring Down Temperatures Across Himachal Pradesh

Snowfall and rain across Himachal Pradesh have led to a noticeable drop in temperatures, keeping most parts of the state cold throughout the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light snowfall and rain continued in parts of the state during the past 24 hours. Minimum temperatures ranged between 0°C and 17°C, while maximum temperatures hovered between 16°C and 34°C.

In Shimla, the minimum temperature fell by 1.1°C, settling at 11.5°C. The capital remained mostly cloudy through the day, with light showers in the afternoon contributing to the chill.

Elsewhere, Dharamshala recorded a minimum of 11.8°C, Manali 7.2°C, Solan 12.2°C, Palampur 12°C, Bhuntar 13°C, Kalpa 5.2°C, Kufri 9.8°C, and Narkanda 8.1°C.

With a maximum temperature of 32.9°C, Una was the warmest location in the state, while Kukumseri in the tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest, recording a minimum of 0.3°C.

The weather is expected to remain dry across Himachal Pradesh until October 29, the IMD said. Maximum temperatures are likely to stay around normal levels over the next few days, while minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 1°C to 2°C in most areas.
