Two Killed After Car Plunges Into Gorge in Kullu
Two people were killed on the spot after a Maruti car plunged into a deep gorge in the Sainj area of Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, police said on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Sharan village, where the vehicle fell into a gorge about 150–200 feet deep, according to officials.
The deceased have been identified as Teja Singh (38) and Raj Kumar (25), residents of Matla and Kartha villages in Ropa, Kullu.
Police said the bodies were recovered and handed over to the families after postmortem.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, officials added.
