CM Sukhu Launches Book on ‘Media Trials’

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today released a new book titled “Bhartiya Loktantra Mein Media Trial” (Media Trials in Indian Democracy), authored by Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dean of Student Welfare and Associate Professor of Journalism at APG Shimla University.

The book launch ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s official residence, Oak Over.

The 124-page book, comprising six chapters, explores the phenomenon of media trials within India’s democratic and judicial framework. Based on her doctoral research, Dr. Sharma examines key case studies to analyze how media influence shapes justice delivery, ethics, and public perception.

Dr. Sharma said the publication offers valuable insights for students, researchers, journalists, and legal professionals alike.
