Himachal Youth Question Rahul Gandhi: “What Happened to the 2022 Promises?”
Unemployed Youth Federation slams Congress, says — “After three years, not a single assurance fulfilled; how will you seek votes in 2027?”

As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Himachal Pradesh, discontent among the state’s unemployed youth came to the forefront.
State Convenor of the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation, Shrey Awasthi, launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership, questioning the government’s failure to deliver on its 2022 poll promises made to the youth.
Awasthi said, “In 2022, Congress made tall claims of providing jobs, unemployment allowance, and new opportunities for the youth. But after three years, not a single major promise has been fulfilled. The big question now is — in 2027, how will Congress face the youth of Himachal?”

He added that the Congress government has neither formulated a clear employment policy nor implemented any transparent scheme to support jobless youth, leaving the young generation disillusioned.
Expressing disappointment, Awasthi remarked, “It’s unfortunate that despite the presence of Congress’s top leadership in Himachal yesterday, not a single word was spoken about the youth or employment. This shows that the concerns of the youth are no longer a priority for Congress.”
He demanded that Rahul Gandhi clarify publicly how many of the 2022 promises have been fulfilled and provide a timeline for the rest.
Awasthi concluded:
“The youth of Himachal have learned to ask questions — they won’t settle for slogans anymore, they want real answers.”
