Two Killed, One Injured After Vehicle Falls into Gorge in Rohru, Shimla
Two people were killed and another injured after a Bolero Camper plunged into a deep gorge in Rohru subdivision of Shimla district late Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 10:45 p.m. on the Chirgaon–Khabal road near Khabal village, when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle fell nearly 300 meters off the road, killing two occupants on the spot and leaving one seriously injured.
The deceased have been identified as Rajwant (36), son of Saar Singh, a resident of Denwari village, Rohru, and Vishal Sankhyan (42), son of Bhagat Ram, from Sondari village, Rohru. The injured person has been identified as Kamraj, son of Surinder Singh, also from Sondari village.
Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the site and, with the help of local residents, retrieved the bodies and rescued the injured. The injured was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Rohru, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Post-mortem examinations of the deceased were conducted, and the bodies were later handed over to their families for last rites.
Rohru DSP Pranav Chauhan confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
