The latest earnings forecasts released on Tuesday indicate a slight improvement in the financial outlook for European companies, though results are still expected to mark their weakest quarterly performance since the first quarter of 2024.

According to LSEG I/B/E/S data, third-quarter earnings for European firms are projected to decline by an average of 0.2%, compared with the 0.6% drop forecast by analysts just a week earlier.
