Heavy Rain Likely in Himachal from October 5 to 7; Orange and Yellow Alerts Issued

Himachal Pradesh is expected to experience a fresh spell of heavy rainfall starting tomorrow. The State Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for various districts, warning of heavy rain through October 7.
A yellow alert has been issued for all 12 districts, with warnings of isolated hailstorms, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in several parts of the state. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, and Lahaul-Spiti districts on October 6, where very heavy rainfall is also likely at a few locations.
Meanwhile, weather conditions remained mostly dry across the state over the past 24 hours. Maximum temperatures were 2°C to 3°C above normal, ranging between 19°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures varied from 3°C to 24°C, 2°C to 4°C above average.
Recorded maximum temperatures included: Shimla (22.6°C), Dharamshala (28.1°C), Manali (22.5°C), Solan (29°C), Kangra (31°C), Mandi (29.8°C), Bilaspur (33°C), Bhuntar (30.6°C), Hamirpur (30.9°C), Nahan (27.4°C), Sundernagar (32.3°C), Reckong Peo (25.9°C), Kalpa (22.5°C), Kufri (19.3°C), and Narkanda (19.1°C).
