A Ludhiana man has been arrested in Shimla district’s Theog subdivision for possession of 11.5 grams of chitta (heroin)

The accused has been identified as Boota Singh (31), a resident of New Shimalpuri, Ludhiana.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a bus near the Theog bypass in which Singh was traveling. During the search, police recovered the heroin from his possession.
Theog Deputy Superintendent of Police Siddharth Sharma said a case has been registered against the accused under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
