Himachal Government Considering 300-Acre Industrial Estate in Himachal Governmentto Boost Economy and Employment
The Himachal Pradesh government is considering setting up a 300-acre industrial estate in Gher, Nalagarh, as part of efforts to stimulate the state’s economy and generate employment.
A high-level meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee formed to prepare a strategic framework for the productive use of the land was held today under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan. After detailed discussions, the committee decided that a final cost-benefit analysis would be carried out before any decision is taken.
The Industries Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to accelerating industrial development and creating job opportunities for young people. The committee also reviewed various development models and their related financial and operational frameworks.
The proposed 300-acre estate will feature modern infrastructure, including reliable power supply, efficient water management systems, and high-speed connectivity, ensuring seamless establishment of industries.
Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) R.D. Nazim presented detailed options available for the project. The meeting was also attended by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma, and senior officials.
